Limited Licences

Have you been disqualified from driving?

If you have been disqualified or suspended from driving you may be eligible to apply for a limited licence, which will enable you to drive for work or for some other purpose.

Obtaining a work licence involves filing an application with the court with evidence to show that a disqualification is, or will, cause extreme hardship to you, or undue hardship to another person. The court has to be satisfied that granting you a limited licence will not be contrary to public safety.

If you are granted a limited licence you will only be allowed to drive at certain times and you can only drive in a nominated vehicle(s) and within a designated area. Other conditions will also be imposed.

Glen charges $1250 (including GST) for a limited licence application. There will also be an additional court filing fee, which is $150 (if you have been disqualified from driving) or $250 (if you have been suspended from driving for excess demerit points).

Glen will prepare and file your application with the court. Once the application is filed he will discuss your application with the police and represent you at court on the day your application is to be heard.

If you have previous driving convictions you might not be eligible for a limited licence. After reviewing your criminal record Glen will be able to tell you immediately whether you are eligible and whether you have a realistic chance of obtaining such a licence.
